2019 Big for Arkansas Cannabis Shops with Over $28 Million in Sales
Dispensaries in Arkansas sold more than $28 million worth of weed in 2019, the first year in which medical cannabis was legal in the state, according to a WREG article. That adds up to over 4,200 pounds of marijuana sold. Who sold all that weed? Arkansas has just 14 licensed dispensaries currently open, with 32 licenses issued.

Once the rest of the licensed dispensaries and two additional cultivation facilities open in early 2020, including two dispensaries in the capital city of Little Rock, it’s expected that sales will see a sharp spike for the state.
One single dispensary, Green Springs Medical Dispensary in Hot Springs, Arkansas, was responsible for more than 1,000 pounds of the total Arkansas sales for 2019. They dwarfed the number two seller, Releaf Center of Bentonville, which sold just 502 pounds.
