FDA: No More Flavored Vapes
As early as this Friday, the Food and Drug Administration is expected to ban the sale of fruity-flavored e-cigarettes. A post on the Wall Street Journal site says the new policy is intended to reduce underage vaping. The policy would apply to pods, but not open-tank systems, and not pods that are formulated to taste like tobacco or menthol.

But, as Donald Trump is quoted in the article as saying, “Hopefully everything will be back on the market very, very shortly.” This is because companies producing the e-cigarette products can apply by May of this year to the FDA to get their flavored products back in stores.
The ruling will come on the heels of legislation changing the legal age to purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21. And while THC and CBD cartridges are not mentioned in the article, there is concern that the ruling may affect cannabis cartridge sales.
