It’s no secret the THC levels in weed have increase greatly over the years. While an average THC level used to be around 4% – 12%, today’s cannabis averages over 20% THC and can even be over 30%. This increase in THC levels has produced some negative experiences for some new users. So, as a post on The Motley Fool asks, could low-THC products be the next industry trend? Vireo Health hopes so.

LiteBud

Vireo Health will be launching a new brand of lower-THC products, called LiteBud, to appeal to those who are looking for THC levels closer to “the old days” of weed. They say they are hoping to draw in consumers who may be hesitant to try cannabis for fear of the high THC levels by offering a positive, consistent experience. The article states that we should expect to see other brands follow suit, offering a low-THC option of their own.
