Alabama Republican Senator Introduces Medical Cannabis Bill
Another Republican politician has introduced a bill to legalize marijuana. According to a post on Yellowhammer News, Tim Melson, a State Senator in Alabama, has put forth a bill that would allow for the medical use of cannabis in the state for qualifying conditions.

The bill would create the Alabama Cannabis Commission, which would strictly regulate the cultivation, processing, dispensing, transportation, and sale of medical marijuana in Alabama. The commission would also approve physicians who want to prescribe medical cannabis to patients with approved medical cards. Also included in the bill is a tax proposal which would be charged at the point of sale and would be used to fund the agencies involved in regulating the cannabis industry in Alabama.
