NORML Praises States Designating Cannabis Facilities as Essential Services
As many businesses are shuttered during the Covid-19 crisis, officials in many states have indicated that those companies and agencies providing services considered “essential” may remain open for business. And, as reported by the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), they are commending those state governments for their decisions.

In the statement from NORML, the organization states that the decision to designate medical cannabis providers as essential services permits providers to provide important products and services to some of the people who need them most during this pandemic event. NORML is also advocating for state and local jurisdictions to allow for delivery of products directly to patients in need. In their statement, they encourage those facilities that remain open to follow enhanced sanitation and cleaning protocols throughout the coronavirus crisis.
