2019 saw some big wins as well as some losses for cannabis legalization in the US. Illinois’s legalization of recreational marijuana and the US House passing banking reform are great examples of the wins. While New York is an example of the process going awry. U.S. News & World Report writes about six states that might be in the win column for 2020.

Among the states the article predicts could legalize recreational cannabis in the new year are New Jersey, New Mexico, New York (finally), Arizona, Florida, and Vermont. Several of these states currently allow the sale of medical marijuana and are expected to pass laws allowing recreational use in the coming year.
