Los Angeles Residents Stock Up on Weed During Coronavirus Crisis
While many businesses are beginning to suffer from the public reaction to the Covid-19 outbreak, cannabis shops in Los Angeles say they have seen higher-than-usual demand. An article on the Hollywood Reporter site says that the anxiety caused by the news surrounding coronavirus has made the demand for the calming effects of cannabis and CBD higher.

According to five different dispensary companies in the L.A. area, who are quoted in the article, they have seen an increase in people buying cannabis in bulk as reporting on coronavirus has built. The people representing these companies are quoted as indicating that people are buying more weed to cope with the anxiety and fear around the pandemic, rather than looking for a cure or treatment for the actual virus. As expected, delivery orders for cannabis have seen an increase across the board as well.
