Kansas Governor OK with Medical Cannabis and Probably Rec – Eventually
As reported in Marijuana Moment, Laura Kelly (D), the governor of Kansas, says that she is in favor of legalizing cannabis for medical use and is focused on getting that legislation passed. When asked about recreational use, the governor said that if the people want it, and the legislature passed it, she would probably approve it.

Governor Kelly has consistently been in support of medical marijuana and made her stance clear during her 2018 election campaign. And although she says she doesn’t think Kansas is ready for adult-use yet, a recent Kansas Speaks survey showed that 63% of Kansas residents support an adult-use cannabis ruling.
The article quotes Kelly as saying, “I’m fully aware of the desire that people have for the legalization of medical marijuana. I support it and I hope the legislature deals with it.”
