Dispensary Workers Forming Class Action Lawsuit

While marijuana is still illegal at a federal level, workers in legal cannabis states are still protected under federal employment laws and regulations. And, according to an article on Green Entrepreneur, at least one organization is fighting back to ensure cannabis workers get what’s fair. The article sites a sponsored Twitter post from ClassAction.org that solicits budtenders and other dispensary workers to join a class action lawsuit.

The lawsuit is in the investigation stage at this point, while gathering details from workers in legal cannabis states. ClassAction.org is looking into cases where cannabis workers were not paid for work, paid in weed, paid under the table, not paid for overtime, and several other alleged violations of federal and state labor laws.
