Coronavirus Concerns Strike Cannabis Events Industry
It seems that almost every day, there is a cannabis or CBD industry event happening somewhere in the world. These are outstanding venues for everything from making industry connections to finding top talent for your cannabis business. But, as Marijuana Business Daily reports, the coronavirus, which is beginning to spread more rapidly in industrialized nations, has already negatively influenced several cannabis events.

Last-minute cancellations of some major events have already had an impact on attendees and exhibitors. For example, the Natural Products Expo West, scheduled to begin yesterday (Tuesday) was abruptly cancelled on Monday due to coronavirus concerns. 85,000 visitors and 3,600 exhibitors were expected to attend that event.
In Israel, the prestigious CannaTech event, scheduled to start March 30, was also cancelled upon a recommendation from the Israeli Minister of Health. SXSW is also rumored to be considering cancellation, after over 35,000 signed a petition to cancel the March 13-22 event.
