A story posted on CBS19 says that some forms of cannabis were legalized in Texas, in 2019, while others were not. And there is much confusion around the state regarding enforcement.

Possession of marijuana remains illegal in the state, while hemp is now legal, keeping in line with federal regulations. However, hundreds of pending marijuana cases have been dropped throughout the state of Texas, because crime labs lack the ability to detect precise THC content.
