Colorado State Gets $1.5 Million Donation from Cannabis CEO
Some cannabis CEOs are in it for the right reasons. Leslie Buttorff, CEO of Panacea Life Sciences, a CBD company, has donated $1.5 million to her alma mater, Colorado State University, for cannabis research. This, according to a story on Wikileaf, will allow the university to open a cannabinoid research center. The center will be focused on studying cannabis compounds for medicinal use.

The goal of the new cannabinoid research center that will be created from the donation will be to develop profiles for cannabinoids and terpenes that will help scientists more efficiently develop treatments for various ailments. For now, under FDA restrictions, the university must limit its research to testing products classified as hemp or CBD, with less than 0.3% concentration of THC.
