Cannabis Billboards Approved in Colorado
As long as they are at least 500 feet from schools, public playgrounds, and places of worship, billboards advertising weed are now allowed in Colorado. As reported by MediaPost, says that, according to the Colorado Department of Revenue, the new rules are in line with rules that currently exist for alcoholic beverage advertising.

Prior to the new ruling, Colorado prohibited cannabis ads on billboards, with the exception of on-site signs, located on the same property as a dispensary. The new rules incorporate current rules on cannabis advertising, including no deception, no claims of safety due to regulation, and no appeal to minors, among others. The changes to billboard advertising rules went into effect on Jan. 1 this year.
