Anti-Vaping Bill Cannabis Amendment Blocked By House Democrats
An amendment that would have included THC vapes in the U.S. House of Representatives anti-vaping bill has been blocked by Democrat representatives. As Marijuana Moment reports, the amendment was introduced by Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA) and would have changed the anti-vaping bill to included flavored THC vape products, along with flavored nicotine vapes.

Griffith and other Republican House members argued that the current anti-vaping bill was insufficient to stop kids from vaping if it didn’t include specific language about THC products. However, House Democrats pushed back, pointing out that THC products are already illegal at the federal level, so any bill that included regulation of those products would need to be taken up as a separate issue. In the end, the committee vote was 3-6 against the amendment in a party-line vote.
