Adult-Use Cannabis Likely Dead in New Mexico
As reported previously, the New Mexico Governor has pushed hard for the legislature to legalize recreational cannabis in New Mexico. However, according to a post on ABC News, a critical vote by a NM Senate committee has killed the bill that could have made it happen this year. And the chances of that or another similar bill coming back around this year are slim to none.

The bill that would have made recreational cannabis legal in New Mexico was struck down when two Democrat State Senators joined four of their Republican colleagues to vote against the bill. The bill, heavily supported by New Mexico’s Governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, would have legalized recreational weed throughout the state, while preserving the state’s current medical cannabis program.
